On January 13, 2015, President Obama visited the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) in Arlington. Following the cyberattacks on Sony and the military's Twitter account, Obama declared digital infrastructure a National Security and Economic issue. The center's primary purpose is to share information between the government and the private sector, is designed to work 24/7, and does a lot of work to combat cyber threats.
